European link-up: I haven’t heard much discussion of the potentialities of the European link up apart from just you know we’ll build some space for European organisations to have their offices in, but you’ve no idea that this a place where you come to see French theatre or come to see Italian cinema or come to see German dancers or Polish painters … the idea that it could be the sort of cultural interface between the UK and the rest of Europe, you know, which could have been a very interesting way to do it…    I think it’s very positive that Argent seem to have secured the University of the Arts to come into the Granary Building; that would be great and that may play some role like this, but I think it would have been good to see a university up there or some more educational and cultural things with strong international links and so far as I am aware there isn’t much of that in there.  It would be a terrible pity if it just ended up just offices and houses.  This transcript is part of King's Cross Central - A Development Challenge
