My work records the industrial beauty of the Victorian gas holders over the last 15 years through to the recent demolition as part of the railway regeneration. These industrial structures had dominated the skyline of the area since 1820. Only one of the original nine remains. The fate of this last standing gas holder and the three currently in storage has sparked much debate within the historical, architectural and local communities. The coal holes and the brick and iron work of the Brill Bridge are also celebrated.
